Join Me on the Moon (poem)

from Dreaming Dangerous Rainbows by Albatross Project

/

about

[roger reads a forgotten poem.
dan, yedo, and a woman’s laughter
lend a hand
respecting his inspiration]

lyrics

the momentary man for the use of
the wonderless winter
a mosaic of accumulated mysteries

somehow all these strange scenes
but a dream floating through me
fading me out
gazing into the blue
a haze
endless and empty
gazing gone in limitless seascape

to get my attention
you would probably have to shoot me

i rip open these bodies
as if they concealed some mystery
strange magic
as if something shone within
our passing skin
as if something breathed
and did not pass away
as if something mattered
as if you would stay
chained to my silence

join me on the moon
sleep the sleep of saints
wash out the will to create
wear the clothes of white
and bathe in waters
clear and crystal
be still as starlight living
not the throbbing throes of dead light
moving divorced from source
seeking some socket to end in

be still
lost in space
spinning speechless
i lend a hand
respecting your inspirations
